UEIL welcomes EPCOL as newest member of the association

Brussels, 18 November 2024 – UEIL (the Union of the European Lubricants Industry), representing the interests of the lubricants industry in Europe, welcome EPCOL (Association of Portuguese Fuel and Lubricant Companies) as its newest associate member.

EPCOL represents and promotes the interests of the Portuguese fuels and lubricants industry, advocating for the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the industry.

Mattia Adani, UEIL President said: ‘We are delighted to welcome EPCOL to UEIL as associate member. This addition underscores our commitment to fostering a collaborative environment within the lubricants industry.

As we continue to navigate the evolving landscape of the lubricants industry, the inclusion of new associate members like EPCOL is vital for driving growth, sharing knowledge, and enhancing sustainability practices across Europe.’

António Comprido, EPCOL Secretary General said: ‘It is with great expectation and enthusiasm that we face our entry as UEIL members. We are sure that our membership will represent a mutual benefit for both Associations, which share the same vision. Furthermore, EPCOL is represented in several European Associations in the different sectors that fall within the scope of its activity, namely liquid and gaseous fuels, and storage, which can represent an added value to this partnership.’

UEIL’s mission is to represent and defend the interests of the lubricant industry in Europe and to support informed EU policy making, while raising awareness of the value and benefit of the lubricants industry for the economy, society, and the environment.
