Webinar: Validated Methodology for Product Carbon Footprint Calculations for Lubricants and other Specialities

ATIEL & UEIL are pleased to announce they will jointly host two webinars on May 28th:

Please select the time that suits you best, as the presentation content will be the same.

Duration: The free webinar will consist of a 45 minutes presentation followed by 15 minutes for Q&A.

What is this webinar About ?

In November 2023 UEIL and ATIEL together published a comprehensive cradle to gate methodology for the calculation of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) for lubricants and other specialities, to allow industry actors to analyse carbon emissions associated with their products, aiding in emission reduction efforts.

The methodology has been independently validated by TÜV Rheinland Energy GmbH; “In accordance with the standard ISO 14067: 2018 and the GHG Protocol Product Standard, the reviewer concludes that the PCF methodology framework developed by Carbon Minds GmbH and UEIL/ATIEL is scientifically based and reflects the state of the art”, the first time such a validation has been assigned to any PCF methodology in the global lubricants industry.

Content

In this webinar representatives from ATIEL, UEIL and Carbon Minds will describe:

  • Why we need a global PCF standard for lubricants and specialities
  • How the PCF methodology was developed
  • The key elements of the methodology, including the product system boundaries, the scope/declared unit, data collection and alignment / harmonisation with other industry methodologies (for example, TfS’s ‘The PCF Methodology for the Chemical Industry’)

Who Should Attend ?

Anyone who has an interest in providing or receiving PCF data within the lubricants supply chain, including but not limited to:
